The truss, fabricated in Montana, was transported to the site in three segments. Over six weeks, it underwent fit-up, welding, and field coating in preparation for the bridge erection on August 21, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Weighing 150,000 lbs., the truss installation had to be completed within a tight four-hour window due to traffic restrictions. Utilizing two 200-ton cranes, the team executed a precise lift and placed the truss onto the bridge bearings, aligning it within millimeters of the surveyed location. Following the truss installation, 11 precast panels were installed over three night shifts.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge is expected to open to the public in fall 2024, marking the completion of a complex and carefully orchestrated engineering feat.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Calgary Pedestrian Overpass Reaches Construction Milestone\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7EfF6Ze2fNE?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer;
